Not illustrated. 1922 Excerpt: ... that a group of licensed physicians may form a corporation, advertise for business and treat patients without violating the statutory requirements as to the "practice of medicine." These cases rest upon the theory that the individual members "practice medicine" and the corporate entity advertises, collects money and enters into contracts which is not "practising medicine." State Electro-Medical Institute v. State (1915) 74 Neb. 40, 103 N. W. 1078; Crall v. Commonwealth (1905) 103 Va. 855, 49 S. E. 638; People ex. rel. State Board of Examiners of Architects v. Rodgers (1917) 277 111. 151, 115 N. E. 146. This theory is rather unique in that it permits the court to see both the corporate entity and the individuals back of it at the same time. Such a rule does not apply in the "practice of law." In the legal profession it is flatly laid down both by the courts and by statute that a corporation can neither practice law nor hire lawyers to carry on the business of practicing law.
